The resort represents a new breed of high-end resorts dedicated to preserving the natural world for many more generations to come. The amenities and facilities at the Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa are simply wonderful. Guest have the option of going horseback riding, hiking, biking and even on a wildlife safari. The resort perfectly finds the balance between relaxed and refined and does so with grassy plains and verdant valleys as its backdrop, showing its guests how beautiful and magnificent nature really can be.

Our room of choice today is the beautiful Wolgan suite, it’s the only one on the resort and its 410 square metres is the epitome of space and luxury.  The self-contained suite is set away from the main resort and has a huge and stunning landscaped garden with private terraces and a one of a kind swimming pool. It is the perfect retreat for couples who want a bit more privacy and indulgence while on vacation or families who want a retreat or get together in the midst of stunning surroundings.

Along with the Timeless Spa there are also two outdoor tennis courts onsite, as well as a fully-equipped gym for guests who wish to keep up their fitness routines. In addition, there is a gorgeous swimming pool where guest can indulge in inspiring views of the dramatic Blue Mountains scenery, and relaxing sauna and steam rooms.

There is a wide range of activities at the resort but we’ve picked two of our favourites.  Guests can learn how to horseback ride with the resorts fenced arena, it is fully supervised and is ideal for beginners who want an introduction into horseback riding. Each rider will be shown the basic techniques of horseback riding by an experienced guide and all safety equipment will be provided. If guests want private or longer lessons then this can be discussed with your field guide who will schedule this for you.

We recommend going on one of the wildlife safaris, where you will get to see kangaroos, wallaroos, wallabies and more. Each of the resorts field guides is a skilled and knowledgeable driver who can tailor your tour around your specific interests and you can also catch more beautiful views of the Blue Mountains whilst on your safari tour.

Wildlife

At The Wolgan Valley food  is sourced from local boutique farms, private growers and vintners, as they continue to maintain their philosophy of seasonal, regional, and organic produce. The chefs at Wolgan valley won’t disappoint and you can expect to see dishes such as Ormiston free-range pork, Mandagery Creek Venison and Oberon line trout, as well as a selection of delicious local cheeses.
