You don’t need to try too hard with this look – it’s all about comfort while keeping it casual chic. There could be some running around, helping out in the kitchen or having a few too many drinks – you need to be ready for anything and everything, I mean all families do have a whole lot unpredictable moments so mirror that with your outfit. Layering is what you want to go with. A pair of skinny jeans, a cute shirt/blouse, a cosy jumper and a pair of chic boots – and you have your look. The meeting/dinner with the in-laws

Now this is a tough one; it’s all about balancing out your look. You want to look likeable and exude an air of sophistication while not looking like you’ve tried too hard to achieve your look. You can’t ever go wrong with a dress – easy to dress up or down while keeping you looking sophisticated and classy, with more than a touch of femininity. Try a little black skater skirt dress, or in a different shades from navy blue to a look with earthy colours, keeping in with the theme of Thanksgiving. If you’re more of a pants kinda girl, keep it simple, skinny jeans and a cute top paired with a blazer should do the trick.

The formal do

For the formal look you can go all out, from a cute cocktail dress, a midi to a formal evening dress, depending on your event you’re spoilt for choice. Try black, hues of blue, a touch of leather, if you can, and you have yourself a winning look, just remember to make sure you have room for all that food you’re going to be eating!
